The Association for Upper Secondary Education was formed in 1992 when the three neighbouring municipalities of Landskrona, Kävlinge and Svalöv decided to cooperate on this issue. Today, the association provides 14 different national educational programmes. There is also a section providing education to young people with special needs.

Within the association there are seven schools altogether, located in the different municipalities. Each school has its own head and some 300 students and a staff of about 30 people.

There is a chief executive officer responsible for the whole association. His office is situated at No.1, Rådhusgatan in Landskrona and there you will also find most of the departments working with finance, management, information technology, students´ applications, development, and school libraries.

The Association for Upper Secondary Education is politically governed. The number of politicians on this board depends on the number of students from the different municipalities and the distribution of seats within the municipalities. The board appoints members to the working committee and acts as the association council.

The Association for Upper Secondary Education is characterized by a wide cultural and linguistic competence. For example all texts on this webpage have been written by members of the staff. This linguistic competence is either due to professional skills or ethnical origin.
